Who I am

My name is Joyce.

I am a space holder, not a fixer.
A witness, not an authority.

My intention is to tend to the field —
to create a container where safety can gently emerge
and where the body feels invited, not pushed.

I move slowly.
I listen deeply.
I trust what arises.

I believe the body knows the way home
when it is met with presence, softness, and choice.

Somatic Temple lives not only in the room,
but in the quality of attention I bring to each moment we share.

Studies and Schooling

I come from a background that bridges body, mind, and human behavior.

I hold a BSc in Business Psychology, with a focus on how people think, feel, and relate — both inwardly and in the world around them. Alongside my academic path, I trained as a certified Pilates instructor, rooted in traditional principles of alignment, breath, and embodied awareness.

My meditation practice is deeply influenced by my time as a student within the Vipassana Dhamma tradition, where I learned the value of silent observation, discipline, and meeting reality as it is.

Over the years, I have also had the opportunity to learn and work alongside indigenous and shamanic practitioners, gaining a deep respect for ritual, nature-based wisdom, and the importance of holding space with humility and care.

My work today weaves these worlds together in a grounded, trauma-aware, and non-dogmatic way — always bringing the focus back to the body as a place of intelligence, truth, and return.
